Trench Mortar

The mortar was first introduced in 1915 by Sir Wilfred Stokes KBE that was issued to the British and U.S. armies. The 3 inch weapon was used to fire into trenches. Since it was only 3 inches, it light compared to the other weapons in wwl. 

      This was useful to end trench warfare, but you could hear the launch. The trench mortar could be fired somewhat safely inside of the trenches.
