Grenades

William Mills made the grenade used in WW1 first used by Britain. In attempting to fight through enemy trenches, or to defend against attack, all armies came to rely heavily on grenades. In late1915, all armies were using high-end grenades. By 1917 grenades were a essential to stay alive in the war.
